Guinwa Zeineddine of Lebanese origin, was born in Canada, raised in the UAE, and finally moved to the United States at the age of 16, Guinwa Zeineddine has got the best of both worlds. She was able to bring her Arab culture and traditions to the welcoming land of the U.S.A.
Raised by two resilient, hardworking Lebanese parents, who are the core of her foundation, she owes her strong ethics to the continued support and unconditional love of her family. Being the eldest of four, she is proud to say that she has served as a positive reinforcement of what it means to be a cultured woman to her siblings.
Guinwa is a high honors graduate from the University of Nevada Las Vegas where she attained a dual degree in Pre-pharmacy and communications and has been inducted into the National Society of Collegiate Scholars due to her commitment to her academics. She is a huge advocate for higher education which is why she has dedicated herself part-time to teaching and mentoring the youths at high risk in her community.
As a strong, independent, Arab woman, Guinwa advocates for community involvement and female empowerment. She has served countless hours to under-serviced communities in efforts to promote education and unity. Her civil service includes Boys & Girls Club, Center for the Blind, Operation Christmas Child, Salvation Army, adopting needy families for the holidays, Goodie Two Shoes, Las Vegas rescue mission, etc.
Delving outside her comfort zone has taught her to appreciate the beauty of diversity. Guinwa honorably became the first Arab president of a Latina-based sorority. She was the youngest member in her chapter and managed to get re-elected as president for another term where she accomplished great things for her chapter and community through various leadership, fundraisers, and community service events. Moreover, during Guinwa's reign as Miss Arab USA, she was able to put together a pageant fundraiser with the collaboration of her sorority to raise funds for an academic scholarship for a fellow Arab American in her community.
Her growing confidence in public speaking encouraged her to host numerous events. Her hopes to reach broad demographics have ignited her passion for media and tv hosting.
In addition to her passion for speaking on important issues, Guinwa always loved performing. " Whether it's a skit, the art of stepping, or all genres of dance, she says that, "performance allows me to escape my day-to-day stresses. It is invigorating and takes me to different heights."
Her future goals include graduating from pharmacy school, working for Doctors Without Borders, and becoming an influential spokeswoman and tv presenter while opening a non-profit organization geared towards empowering and guiding youth into a successful path of life.
She also believes that the Miss Arab USA crown serves as an opportunity for her to receive new and greater heights in life. She says, "As your Miss Arab USA, I am committed to being the best representation of what a Miss Arab USA should be." As she promised, Guinwa had a successful and busy reign that was geared towards humanitarian work, public speaking and promoting the Arab culture in a positive light, modeling for various companies, and lots of international travel and publicity.
“Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.” For Guinwa, being crowned signified one of these breathtaking moments.
